Resilience
My personal “reset button” is grounding myself
In my faith , family, and community.
Purpose-Driven
I’ve learned to be my own advocate for my life , personally and professionally. Using my own narrative to shape change and empower others to do the same.
Developmental Leadership
My best example is not micromanaging others. I prefer observation and coaching. Giving new leaders a playbook to help them sharpen their ideas and take risks is my goal. Collaboration always leads to the best outcomes in developing others.
Intersectionality
I think being a woman and being a Black woman in leadership can be triggering for us in many fields. In a time , when diversity and inclusion is weaponized against us, I persevere through my hardships. I’ve been told I have a “superwoman” mentality. However, I can’t cape for everyone and I need help myself at times.
Future Facing Legacy
I lead with love. It’s sounds easy but many people struggle in leadership because they lack love at the center of their work. This hustle and grind mode that we have to “be successful” means nothing if we aren’t empathetic to others.
